It is important to note that this issue only occurs when I am using Citrix to remote into my work desktop. Display one works until I click over to display two, at which display one freezes until I click on the blue connection bar at the top. I use the laptop to remote into my work desktop via Citrix. The laptop is docked to a Lenovo Universal USB-C dock which has two monitors connected to it. It has an Intel Core I7 chip and 16 gbs of RAM. I wanted to follow up on this because I'm experiencing the exact same issue on a new Lenovo Thinkpad laptop.

Setting it back to auto-select seems to have fixed the issue, despite it still choosing to use the Nvidia card. Despite the display monitor literally being connected to one of it’s ports, setting my system preferred graphics card to the Nvidia card caused the issue. Any recommendations are appreciated!ĮDIT/SOLUTION: I have no clue why, but for some reason RDP hates being told to use my Nvidia graphics card specifically. I've tried updating Citrix as well as a handful of other common/recommended solutions for this issue, but nothing seems to have fixed it. When I try to save the RDP file to figure out where it is, even after saving it, the file does not appear where it was saved so I can't delete these settings either. Likewise, for the first time since using it, my selected settings and credentials have auto-populated the remote desktop settings screen. The display only refreshes once I click on the blue connection across the top of monitor 1, or if the connection tab is pinned.

That is, whenever I drag a window from monitor 1 onto monitor 2, the second monitor doesn't update the display but I can still interact with the window itself. I've been using dual monitors with the Citrix remote desktop connection for the longest time without issue, but as of late I've started running into the freezing issues with the second monitor.
